Our Voice in Activism

With our theme of Casting a Wider Circle: Our Voice in Activism, we have decided to select two local non-profit organizations to help. The Second Harvest Food Bank aims to end hunger by providing food access, advocacy, education, and disaster response to south Louisiana. They need non-perishable food items and volunteers to prepare children's meals in their Community Kitchen. The Love a Pit Foundation is a local animal rescue organization who provides rehabilitation and rehoming services for abandoned, abused, and neglected animals. Since they are an all-volunteer organization, foster homes and monetary donations are always needed. Love a Pit will be joining us at Pagan Pride Day with ado

Casting a Wider Circle

Our theme for the 2017 Pagan Pride Day event is Casting a Wider Circle: Our Voice in Activism. We are reaching out to members of the spiritual community to assist us in cleansing & empowering the space of the New Orleans Healing Center before the opening ritual. The goal is to set the tone for a day of coming together, learning from those with differing beliefs, and being empowered to make a difference within our community. If you'd like to participate in the asperging, please check in at the information booth by 9:45am. Let's get the day kicked off on the right foot!

Celia Farran Private Performance

Hang out with Celia, our headliner at this year's Pagan Pride Day, for an intimate concert in the home of one of our Board members. Enjoy a drink and some chill time at the start of a crazy weekend. If you're not sure you'll make it to her stage show at Cafe Istanbul on PPD, this is the opportunity to see the one-of-a-kind song stylings of Celia! Celia has been described as "A cross between an Earthy Enya, Joan Baez, and Tina Fey." She dishes up the most delicious concoction of the silly and sacred. With powerful, heart-felt vocals and wacky comedic improvisations, the audience never knows what will happen with Celia on stage. $5-10 cash donation will be collected at the event. The show wil

Family Fun

Visit the second floor with your young ones for a number of activities throughout the day: corn-husk dolly making, spider web of beliefs, bubbles corner, putting together & performing a skit, leaf twister, picture coloring, and a scavenger hunt. Celia Farran will also perform musical story telling in Cafe Istanbul. There will also be costume contest with trick 'r' treating. Bring the whole family!

Schedule is Live!

We are so excited about this year's line-up! From live performances by Celia Farran, The Mechanist & The Star Goddess, and Crescent Lotus Dance Studio; to tons of children's activities; to workshops on a variety of topics; to group rituals, you won't want to miss a thing! Check out the schedule to plan out your day.

Returning to our Roots

With the unpredictable weather as of late, the Greater New Orleans Pagan Pride Project has decided to move the 2017 Pagan Pride Day to the New Orleans Healing Center. This will provide plenty of indoor space, which allows the event to take place rain or shine. We are also excited to return to the Healing Center for the event's fifth anniversary, as this was the location of the first Greater New Orleans Pagan Pride Day in 2013. The New Orleans Healing Center is located at 2372 St. Claude Ave, across from the St. Roch Market. Please join us on Sunday, October 29 from 10am to 6pm for a great day of community fellowship!
